NFL Draft 2013: Arthur Brown Looks Like ‘Definite First-Round Pick’

Kansas State linebacker Arthur Brown has been a favorite of mine throughout the entire draft process, and now, it looks like there is some serious buzz that he will be one of the players taken on day one of the 2013 NFL Draft next week.

According to NFL Draft insider Tony Pauline:

The two fastest rising linebackers in the draft? Arthur Brown of Kansas State and Sio Moore of UConn. Several people on the inside continue to tell me Brown is a definite first round pick, which like means Kevin Minter or Manti Te’o are likely out.

If you had to guess whether Minter or Te’o would be out of the first-round mix, it doesn’t look good for the former LSU linebacker. At least half of the general managers in the league believe Te’o is a first-round pick.

As for Moore, he will be a real option for the Jets in the second-round. If the team is looking to take Moore, that could alter their first-round strategy. A player like Tavon Austin would certainly be in the mix if New York is thinking defense with round two.

Of course, we will only have to speculate for one more week.

The entire draft kicks off next Thursday at Radio City Music Hall, and the intrigue is starting to reach new levels.
