Things have been developing slowly on the Darrelle Revis trade front, but it looks like the New York Jets will be making a final decision next week. The anticipated trade to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers seems incredibly likely to happen, and a report surfaced on Saturday morning that claims there is a “75 percent” chance that Revis is traded within the next seven days.
Here is the report from Tony Pauline:
For what its worth: source close to the situation told me they feel chances are 75% Darrelle Revis is traded next week…

Pauline is very dialed in to NFL circles, so for him to put that figure out there must mean the negotiations are picking up and both sides are ready to swing a deal.
An interesting note to the Revis trade is that, if he goes to Tampa Bay, he would still make his first NFL start since suffering a torn ACL at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers make the journey to East Rutherford in week one of the regular season. It could be a very early homecoming for the shutdown corner.
We should find out for certain in the next few days what sideline Revis will be standing on for week one.
