Multiple teams around the sports world are rallying to show their support for the entire Boston community since Monday’s senseless attack at the Boston Marathon. On Saturday, a number of college football teams will be taking the field to honor Boston and the victims during their spring games, and one of those schools will be the University of Massachusetts.
During their spring game, the Minutemen will be wearing jerseys that have the names of the Boston Marathon bombing victims — 8-year-old Martin Richard, 23-year-old student Lu Lingzi, 29-year-old Krystle Campbell and 26-year-old slain police officer Sean Collier — along with the hashtag, #BostonStrong.
Here are the jerseys that UMASS will wear:
This is an incredible tribute and will certainly help the families of the victims know that they have support and their loved ones will never be forgotten.
