Antonio Cromartie Unhappy With New York Jets Trading Darrelle Revis

The New York Jets will be sending star cornerback Darrelle Revis to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pending a physical, and that leaves fellow cornerback Antonio Cromartie as the teams best player. Naturally, reporters went directly to Cromartie to see how he would react to the news of his teammate heading to Florida, and he was very clear about his unhappiness with the move.

“It sucks. That’s my reaction: It sucks,” Cromartie told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News on Sunday. “Losing a guy like that just sucks. We had the best tandem.”

Cromartie’s comments seem to echo what most Jets fans have been saying on various social media outlets.

While it may suck, Cromartie will have to get over it.

He is now the team’s top player and he will have to step up and be a leader for the team as they go through rebuilding mode.

Cromartie did well against the pass last season, even without Revis opposite him for much of the season. The Jets will be counting on that same kind of production this year or else they could be in some serious trouble.
