Auburn Fans in Military Can’t Make Final Rolling of Toomer’s Corner; Roll Tank Instead (Photo)

The final rolling of the oaks on Toomer’s Corner took place over the weekend and it was a great moment for Auburn Tigers fans that could make the historic event. While it was the last time the oaks will be rolled before they are removed, not everyone that wanted to be there could make it to join in the tradition on final time.

Members of the armed forces who are over in Afghanistan couldn’t be home for the big event, so they improvised and had a final rolling of their own… and it was awesome.

The troops rolled one and hung the Auburn flag as a tribute to the event they could not make.

This shows how much of a reach college sports have. No matter where you are, your college roots will always show through. It was great to see these brave men and women who defend our country enjoy the rolling tradition one last time.
