The Golden State Warriors dropped game one of their Western Conference quarterfinal match up against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday, but they received even more of a devastating blow with the news on forward David Lee that they received today.
It was originally believed that Lee suffered a sprained hip flexor during the game, however, the Warriors didn’t realize just how bad the injury was.
Lee underwent an MRI on Sunday morning to confirm the hip flexor strain, but the results were even worse:
David Lee tore his right hip flexor on Saturday and is done for the season, league source says. He had an MRI today.

It is a big loss for Golden State and delivers a serious blow to their chances of advancing over Denver.
The Warriors return to action on Tuesday, April 23, at 10:30 p.m on TNT. We will have to see how they react on the court to the news of Lee’s loss.
