Now is the time in the draft process where you hear negative comments about prospects as they are overanalyzed, but one prospect has not been mentioned — LSU’s Barkevious Mingo. Mingo is one of the draft’s most natural pass rushers, and there is a lot of buzz surrounding the potential impact he could have in the NFL. When it comes to the 2013 NFL Draft, Mingo is certainly a player that your team should be looking at.
An even greater plus for Mingo is the fact that no team or scout has gone out of their way to pick him apart or attack him with the draft so close.
Here is what NFL Network and NFL.com reporter Ian Rapoport had to say about Mingo:
Prospects getting picked apart. Barkevious Mingo not so much. Scouting director: “He’s so clean. Such upside. When u meet him, you love him”

That is a great endorsement for Mingo.
With teams throwing up smokescreens and doing what they can to damage a players reputation in hopes that he slides to them, Mingo’s name has not been brough up.
That speaks volumes of what NFL teams think of Mingo as a player and how they view him as a person.
Mingo is a great guy, with a ton of talent and upside.
His name should be called within the first ten picks of this Thursday’s draft.
