Indiana Pacers associate head coach Brian Shaw has been one of the top assistants in basketball for a number of years. Finally, after a sting in Los Angeles as assistant head coach of the Lakers and the current gig in Indiana, he could be getting his shot as the leading man.
Multiple reports have surfaced that Shaw could land the vacant head coaching job of the Philadelphia 76ers.
Per Ken Berger of CBSSports.com on Twitter:
In the early stages of the Sixers’ coaching search, two names have risen to the top of the list, sources say: Mike Brown and Brian Shaw.

It would be great to see Shaw finally get his turn in the spotlight. It’s just unfortunate that time would come with a team that has so little talent.
But if there is one man for the job who has what it takes to turn things around, Shaw could be that man. It would be nice to see how his time with Phil Jackson and Frank Vogel has prepared him to take over his own team.
