Cleveland Browns Considering Trade For Davone Bess

The Cleveland Browns could possibly spend a late round draft pick on a sure-handed wide receiver, but it’s not a rookie. Instead, the Browns could send a draft pick to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for slot receiver Davone Bess.

Surprisingly, it looks like Bess is getting interest from more than one team.

Per Sean Jensen of the Chicago Tribune:

If Bess were to be dealt, it likely wouldn’t bring in more than a fifth- or sixth-round pick in return.

Bess isn’t a player that will blow you away with his speed and he surely isn’t a big play threat, but he has that ability to move the chains and be a solid option over the middle.

If Cleveland is serious about this trade, there is no reason for either side to not get this deal done. It’s not a blockbuster trade by any means, but it can help out both sides.

Bess is at least a third round tallent. Dolphins better not trade him for less. A trade that would send Bess to Cleveland plus a second round for their first round pick would work for me

Bess is a damn good player and quite underestimated. Of course, he is not a player that can do it all by himself. He needs support from other weapons on the field but make no mistake this guy is Welker esk. Why then are the fins willing to trade him?? you may ask?? Because we have other holes to fill, we have brought in Brandon Gibson from the Rams and somebody is going to be limited in how much time they would play. Beyond that, Bess is the only player that we have that we can part with without leaving a gaping hole and who has trade value. Other teams note…. This is not garbage we are turning loose. Devon Bess is a talented player.
