The Rams moved up to the eight spot in the draft to get their prized possession, Tavon Austin. The Buffalo Bills traded out of the eighth spot after being rumored to select Doug Marrone’s quarterback at Syracuse, Ryan Nassib. Nassib is viewed as a second-round pick at best by most NFL teams so this move makes sense for both teams. Buffalo may be able to get Doug Marrone’s guy later on while picking up some additional picks.

Austin has been dubbed by many the best prospect in the draft. With a 4.34 second 40-yard dash, the wide-out from West Virginia is extremely explosive. His size isn’t prototypical for a wide-receiver at just 5’8″, but he is the perfect replacement for Danny Amendola in the slot.

There aren’t may flaws to Austin’s game. His size may draw some concern, but in a league where receivers are protected to the fullest extent, it may not have any effect. Austin will add a big-time target for Sam Bradford.

Draft Grade: A+
