Immediately after the Louisville Cardinals defeated the Michigan Wolverines to claim the 2013 NCAA Men’s Tournament at the Georgia Dome, Pitino let it be known that he had made a promise to his players that he would get a tattoo to commemorate their run if they were successful.

Today, just a few weeks after Louisville’s win, Pitino’s new ink has been revealed.

Surprisingly, Pitino’s ink isn’t too shabby.

Louisville put together an incredible and emotional run that captured the nation, so it is only fitting that Pitino will keep this championship with him for the rest of his life.

This is the type of thing that helps with team unity and really can give Pitino a boost on the recruiting trail.

Players love to go out on the court and leave everything out there for Pitino and moments like this are just one reason why.
