Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback AJ McCarron and Texas A&M Aggies star Johnny Manziel are in the beginning stages of a bromance after meeting during the Super Bowl in New Orleans. Now, the two signal-callers are planning on taking their relationship to the next level by heading off on a beach vacation… together.

We’re either going to Key West or Cancun and will hang out with our other friends,” McCarron said, via USA TODAY Sports. “Me and him, we don’t ever let that (football talk) bother us. He’s a good friend of mine, and he’s a funny dude.”

There little getaway will apparently take place in May.

It is interesting because this further shows that rivalries on the field of play do not carry on off the field in today’s age of sports. In the past, two rival quarterbacks going on a beach vacation together may have been frowned upon, but nowadays it is the norm.

Thanks to social media and the availability of everyone, players like to connect and spend time with their peers.

For McCarron and Manziel, this is no different.

This is just two college guys getting together to enjoy themselves. As long as no one that shouldn’t be paying for the trip is taking care of expenses (you know the NCAA is watching), there should be no issue with the trip.

The real question is whether or not Katherine Webb will be joining the pair on the beach:
