In a move that surprises absolutely no one, the New York Jets have released back up quarterback, media darling and constant distraction Tim Tebow just a few days after selecting Geno Smith in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Tebow was never expected to play another down for the Jets, but the move was made official today.
Here is the report that surfaced on Twitter Monday morning, from Brian Costello of the New York Post:

The next question is whether or not anyone will be interested in signing Tebow of if he will stand in the unemployment line before his ego allows him to accept a job in the Arena Football League or CFL.
If you are looking for a potential suitor for Tebow, you can never count out the Jacksonville Jaguars. After all, they invested a third-round pick on a punter in 2012, so they could use the additional protection.
