Minnesota Wild to Start Josh Harding in Goal Again For Game 4

After a last minute injury to Minnesota Wild goalie Nikolas Backstrom prior to game one of the Western Conference quarterfinals, Josh Harding stepped up to do an excellent job between the pipes. Despite his best efforts, the Wild have fallen in a 2-1 hole to the Chicago Blackhawks with game four set to take place Tuesday night. That hasn’t stopped the team from giving him yet another vote of confidence as they named him the starter for tonight’s game.

As for Backstrom, whether or not he is active will be a gametime decision:

To be fair, Harding would likely get the start even if Backstrom was healthy.

He has been putting together an incredible string of performances for the Wild this series and they would be wise to stay with the hot goaltender.

Minnesota and Chicago will drop the puck at 9:30 p.m. ET.
