It has been just shy of a month since Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Zack Greinke suffered a broken collarbone in the bench clearing bowl against the San Diego Padres on April 11. The good news for Dodgers fans and Greinke is that he is preparing to make his first rehab start since the injury on Friday.
The team announced the news on Thursday evening:
Zack Greinke is expected to make his first rehab start tomorrow for Rancho Cucamonga. Scott Elbert is also expected to pitch in relief.

Greinke looked good in his bullpen session on Tuesday where he tossed 60 pitches.
If all goes well during the rehab stint, it could be a matter of weeks until we see Greinke return to the Los Angeles Dodgers starting rotation.
