It is a move that was expected, but now we finally have an official answer. New York Knicks big man Amar’e Stoudemire will be returning to action on Saturday for Game 3 against the Indiana Pacers. Stoudemire has been out of action since March, so he knows he will be rusty which is why he plans to play limited minutes while he gets back in to the groove of playoff basletball.

From the New York Post:

The Saturday comeback is on schedule as Knicks coach Mike Woodson said Thursday he plans on giving Amar’e Stoudemire 10-to-15 minutes in Game 3 as he gears up for his first outing since March 8….

“I expect to contribute the best I can,’’ Stoudemire said today. “I don’t have time to find my rhythm. I have to be ready from the start. That’s what it’s going to be.’’

Stoudemire will be a nice added presence inside the paint for New York as they deal with the Pacers physicality. The two sides are currently tied in the series with one win a piece.

The Knicks and Pacers will tip-off at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
