Jacksonville Jaguars Fans Launch Anti-Tim Tebow Site

Tim Tebow has been a hot topic in Jacksonville ever since he was offered up as trade bait by the Denver Broncos last offseason. The Jaguars reportedly came close to pulling the trigger on a deal that would have landed Tebow back in Gator Nation, but the Jets ultimately traded for him and we all know what happened after that.

But now that Tebow has failed in New York, the debate about him coming Jacksonville has fired up again, but while many Jaguars fans seem geeked about the idea, bot everyone is on board.

EvenIfHesReleased.com is a site started by a group called the Bold City Brigade and it’s a place where “real” Jaguars fans go to tally their disdain for the idea of Tim Tebow quarterbacking their favorite football team.

According to ESPN AFC South blogger Paul Kuharsky, the site is relatively new as it was a direct response to attorney John Morgan starting a White House petition to get Tebow on the Jaguars roster. Understandably so, the White House threw the petition out after it was done rolling it’s eyes at yet another bogus petition.

How a person honestly believes a petition can force a team to sign a player is beyond me, but I digress.

Like the lame petition effort, this anti-Tebow movement is highly unlikely to effect the quarterback’s chances in Jacksonville. But it does illustrate something we haven’t seen out of Jaguars fans which is common sense. It’s nice to know that not every fan attached to a Tebow rumor is insane — well at least 540,000 of them aren’t.
