The Colorado Rockies have been without right fielder Michael Cuddyer since Wednesday and they will now be without him for at least another ten days. The team announced that Cuddyer would be placed on the 15-day disabled list in a move made retroactive to May 9. According to the official report, Cuddyer has an “inflamed cervical disc in neck.”

The 34-year-old outfielder had seven home runs and 23 RBI through 31 games.

Cuddyer shouldn’t miss much more time than the ten days, but you can never be too sure with something like a neck injury. It may seem minor, but these are the injuries that can never be taken lightly.

For now, Cuddyer will just rest up and hope the soreness goes away so he can return to action and help the Rockies out on the field.
