When the New York Knicks knew they’d be playing the Indiana Pacers, the last thing they thought was that entering Game 4 they’d be approaching the brink of elimination. But that’s exactly the case as we prepare for Game 4 between the Pacers and Knicks and it could be a game where we see te Knicks fall so hard they won’t be able to get back up.

Carmelo Anthony seems to be the only guy stepping up for New York but that’s not all his fault. The Knicks were without J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert and Kenyon Martin in practice on Monday and if just one of those guys doesn’t play tonight, the Knicks will be depleted and shorthanded because if it. That could prove fatal as it’s been made abundantly clear that the Knicks need more than just Melo to step up if they want to get to the Conference Finals.

As for Indiana, they couldn’t be in a better position. The Knicks are sick and hobbling and the Pacers could very well head back to New York up 3-1 and with a chance to eliminate the Knicks before they could even get comfortable in this series.
