Unrestricted free agent Kyle Korver would like to return to the Atlanta Hawks for the upcoming 2013-2014 season and apparently, the feeling is mutual.

Chris Vivlamore of AJC.com sat down with Korver where he not only mentioned his desire to return, but that the Hawks had already approached him about it.

Per AJC.com:

Q. Did they give you any indication that they would like to see you back?

A. Yes. They said they would like to work something out so we’ll talk in July.

Q. That would be amenable to you?

A. Yes. I really enjoyed by year here in Atlanta. I enjoyed the team. I enjoyed the organization. I believe Danny Ferry is going to do some great things here. I really think he is. I think it’s a great opportunity to bring in guys who are going to play fun basketball. I know the vision that he has, you know the kind of basketball that he likes to watch. I think he is going to bring in those types of guys. I like the same basketball that he likes. I’m very open to coming back here.

Korver and his sweet shooting stroke should be in high demand this Summer, so there’s no doubt the Hawks will have a bit of competition in their attempts to retain Korver. That said, it sure sounds like the Creighton product would be more than happy to return, assuming the money is right.
