The 138th running of the Preakness Stakes will be held this weekend at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland and the Kentucky Derby winner continues to be the clear favorite. Orb heads in to Saturday as the betting favorite for the second leg of the Triple Crown, while Titletown Five remains the long shot.

Those who watched the Kentucky Derby should be familiar with a number of horses in this weekend’s field. Horses like Goldencents and Itsmyluckyday are right in the middle in terms of odds, while Mylute is the toughest challenger for Orb this weekend.

An interesting dynamic for the 2013 Preakness will be the 50 percent chance of weekend heading in to the weekend.

That could slow some of the horses down, but Orb was able to deal with the rain at the Kentucky Derby, so it shouldn’t be a problem. The biggest worry for owner Shug McGaughey is that Orb is starting from the inside pole.

Here is the current list of betting odds heading in to this weekend’s race:

Orb – 10/11
Mylute – 13/2
Departing -13/2
Goldencents – 8/1
Govenor Charlie – 10/1
Itsmyluckyday – 10/1
Will Take Charge – 12/1
Oxbow – 16/1
Titletown Five – 28/1
