It’s going to be a quiet NBA Summer League for the Boston Celtics.
While the Celtics will be sending a team to the Orland Summer League, it’s not going to feature some of their most promising youthful talent in Avery Bradley or Jared Sullinger, this according to the Boston Globe.
The Celtics are wanting to give Bradley a bit of time off this Summer, hoping the rest will rejuvenate Bradley’s body for the upcoming season while Sullinger is still recovering from back surgery.
Per the Globe:
The Celtics will have one summer league entry this year as opposed to the two teams they carried last year. Boston will play in the Orlando Summer League but that team will not feature Bradley or Jared Sullinger.
The tenacious point has missed the previous two NBA Summer League’s though, in all fairness, the young guard really isn’t in need of it as he’s proven to be more than an adequate NBA talent already.
It’s expected that Fab Melo along with any upcoming draft picks will participate on the Celtic Summer League team, a roster that will be filled out by undrafted rookies and free agents.
