Former Stony Brook Seawolves running back Miguel Maysonet signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an unrestricted free agent following the conclusion of the 2013 NFL Draft, however, the team has decided to cut him loose after the first round of OTAs. It was a short life in Philadelphia for Maysonet, but he is getting a second chance after the Cleveland Browns claimed him on the waiver wire.
Rich Cimini of ESPN New York had the report:
Former Stony Brook RB Miguel Maysonet, cut yesterday by Eagles, was claimed on waivers by the Browns, per source.

Maysonet is an intriguing player. Unfortunately for him, the Browns have one of the deepest backfields in the league and it could be hard for him to find a spot on the final roster.
It will be an uphill battle for Maysonet to make the Browns roster, but he is talented enough that he could get a few more looks in camps and preseason if he is released in the early waves of roster cuts.
