Heat's Shane Battier Knees Pacers' Roy Hibbert in the Groin (Video)

Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert is a bad man, as we saw from his incredible block in the previous round of the NBA Playoffs against New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony. Unfortunately for Hibbert, the Miami Heat came right at him in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals and the family jewels were victimized.

When Heat forward Shane Battier was driving to the hoop, he delivered a knee right to the groin of Hibbert and the big man went down in obvious pain.

You don’t need to see the shot to know it was painful, but here is the video anyways:

There is never a good time to get hit in the groin, but at least Hibbert was able to recapture his breath and get back to his feet.

Indiana is going to need a big time performance from Hibbert in this series, so let the speculation begin that the Heat have a bounty out on HIbbert’s stones. That would be one way to make sure he doesn’t play to the best of his ability.

Protect yourself, Roy.
