Philadelphia Flyers forward Jakub Voracek is apparently a very lucky man. The Flyers announced on Wednesday morning that Voracek had been involved in a car accident in the Czech Republic that totaled his Ferrari. Luckily for Voracek, he is doing well and avoided any serious injuries, but his nice car suffered a tragic fate.

Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren shared the news with the media by releasing a statement on the accident.

I spoke with Jake this morning,” Holmgren said in the statement. “He was involved in a car accident in the Czech Republic. Although his car did suffer damage, there were no injuries.

“Jake is fine.”

It is amazing that Voracek got out of that without any significant injuries. He really is lucky. At least we can see that these airbags did their job.

According to Sport.cz, who first reported the incident, Voracek collided with a truck at around 11:30 a.m. local time. There was no alcohol involved in the crash.
