Spurs’ Tony Parker to have precautionary MRI on left calf

San Antonio Spurs guard, Tony Parker has been playing with a sore left calf for quiet some time now. Nonetheless, he was able to post up 14 points and 18 assists in yesterday overtime thriller win against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Still, Parker was seen limping on his way back to the locker room. With game three on Saturday in Memphis, the Spurs have decided to play it safe and look into it.

As Jared Greenberg put it, the Spurs have the advantage of the three day halt which will be plenty of time to rest. There is most likely nothing new there but it’s still a concern. There’s no need to push the panic button yet Spurs fans. Parker will be alright.
