Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Josh Brent could find himself back behind bars after Dallas County prosecutors take their case to have Brent’s bail revoked to a judge on Friday. According to an Associated Press and NFL.com report, Brent is accused of “violating the terms of his release on bond by consuming alcohol and tampering with a device that detects the presence of alcohol in his body”.

A hearing is scheduled to take place in front of State District Judge Robert Burns in Dallas. Brent is currently is out on $100,000 bail, but that could all change soon.

“He is not meeting the specific conditions that come along with the SCRAM unit,” said Dallas District Attorney spokeswoman Debbie Denmon. “He also missed several appointments he should have made, that you have to show up for, so they can monitor the device and check it.”

According to Denmon, prosecutors initially asked a judge to give Brent a verbal warning for violating the terms of his release and the second offense has resulted in the request to revoke his bail.

We will update this situation tomorrow after the hearing has been held.
