Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson dealt with nagging injuries throughout his entire rookie season and he is already getting bitten by the injury bug in his sophomore campaign. With the team’s OTAs underway, Richardson was forced to miss the workouts because of a lower-leg injury.
Per Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer:

Luckily it isn’t a serious injury for Richardson, but there is cause for concern that he will be plagued by injuries again in 2013. Let’s hope that is not the case.
One person who can benefit from Richardson’s absence is former Stony Brook star running back Miguel Maysonet, who the team recently claimed off of waivers. Maysonet will be able to get the extra reps that he needs to make an impact. Whether or not Maysonet sticks with the Browns remains to be seen, but the door is now open for him to impress his coaching staff.
