Stephen Curry Expected to Join Team USA Roster

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is unquestionably one of the best shooters in professional basketball and he was on fire early in the NBA postseason. Unfortunately for Curry and the Warriors, the San Antonio Spurs were too much too handle and they were bounced from the playoffs. Curry will have a chance to show his skills on a much larger platform, however.

Curry is expected to join the Team USA basketball at some point after July’s mini-camp.

According to Marcus Spears of Yahoo! Sports, Curry wasn’t invited to the USA Basketball mini-camp because he has already proven himself. Once he gets to join the roster, he will provide the team with a pure jump shooter.

Team USA features one of the greatest groups of athletes in the world, but it is the lack of shooters that holds the team back. That will all change with Curry in the line-up.

Coach Mike Krzyzewski will be leading Team USA through the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio and they will be looking to add as much talent to the roster as possible so they can bring home another gold medal.
