Cain Velasquez’s UFC 160 Salary: Champion Set to Make $400,000

UFC 160 will take place later tonight with the heavyweight championship on the line when title holder Cain Velasquez faces off against Antonio Silva in the night’s main event. Both men are incredibly motivated to win their rematch, but the challenger has a much greater incentive. While Velasquez is set to make a flat salary of $400,000 for the fight, Silva will make just $75,000 to show and another $75,000 to win.

The champion dominated Silva in their first fight nearly a year ago on the dot, so he has to be comfortable heading in to tonight’s featured fight.

It is important to know that fighters make much more than the disclosed salaries. While Velasquez will make $400,000 for his championship bout, he will make even more with a portion of pay-per view buys and his sponsorships.
