At 5’10, San Francisco Giants outfielder Andres Torres is of decent height. Well, at least normally.
However, the speedy backup ran into a bit of a problem during today’s game against the Oakland Athletics. Actually, he ran into a big problem – a problem named Nate Freiman.
The Oakland A’s first baseman is a towering 6’8, which as you can see below, caused quite the issue for Torres who had singled to right field a few moments prior:
Torres, looking confused as ever as to why he couldn’t pick up third base coach Tim Flannery, rocked back and forth attempting to find his way out of Frieman’s shadow. Thankfully for Torres, San Francisco Giants first base coach Roberto Kelly was there go guide him in the correct direction.
With three more games remaining against the A’s this week, Torres, who is a gazelle on the bathpaths, may want to invest in some stilts. Or a hot air balloon. High heels. Pet steps. Anything.
