With the NBA Draft fast approaching, the rumor mill is starting to churn.
Enter the Orlando Magic, who according to ESPN’s Chad Ford, have “a lot of interest” in trading for Los Angeles Clippers point guard, Eric Bledsoe.
The former University of Kentucky product has been the subject of many trade rumors during his short stay in the NBA, especially with Chris Paul manning the majority of minutes at the one spot and it appears this offseason will be no different.
According to Ford, the Magic would be willing to part with swingman Arron Afflalo in exchange for Bledsoe and the expiring contract of Caron Butler, however, that might be too costly of a deal for the Clippers on the surface.
Of course, any potential deal for Bledsoe would be delayed until the Clippers are able to re-sign Chris Paul, who is currently an unrestricted free agent.
Afflalo, who recently signed a 5 year, $37 million dollar contract still has two years plus a player option for a third year left on his deal while Bledsoe will be entering the final year of his contract, becoming a restricted free agent in 2014-15.
