Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant continues to keep his fans in the loop of his recovery from the devastating Achilles tear he suffered towards the end of the regular season. While Bryant wasn’t able to help his team in the NBA playoffs, he has been seemingly positive and determined since the injury.

Bryant was recently able to take off his supportive boot and continues to make progress. He has tweeted all kinds of pictures in the last month. Photos of his surgery, of his boot and him setting his first step on his injured foot have all been presented to the world.

On Friday, Kobe finally started his rehab and posted this photo on his instagram account.

In the photo, you can see Bryant walking in a special treadmill which supports some of his weight. He is also wearing what he refers to as the  “medical mamba” shoe, which is custom-made for him and his rehab process. The shoe gives further support to Bryant’s injured foot.

Seeing Bryant progress is certainly a great sight for all NBA fans. Kobe had his surgery the very next day after suffering the injury, and even made it to one of the Lakers’ playoff games, rooting for his team from the sidelines. His expected recovery time is six to nine months.
