Milwaukee Bucks guard Monta Ellis either is no fan of Wisconsin or he thinks he’s going to cash in this Summer as apparently, he’s been telling friends he’s “bolting” out of Milwaukee soon as he can.
Starting shooting guard Monte Ellis has an opt-out clause in his contract and has told associates he’s bolting Milwaukee.
That opt-out clause Woelfel talks about would pay Ellis $11 million dollars for the 2013-14 season, but Ellis sounds as if he has other plans after spending parts of a season and a quarter in Milwaukee.
The 8 year veteran has reportedly expressed interest in playing for the Sacramento Kings, who recently hired Mike Malone as their head coach. Malone and Ellis seemed to hit it off splendidly in Golden State before Ellis’ trade and a reunion might be in the heart of Ellis. Monta reportedly gushed about Malone’s ability to relate to players and his basketball IQ.
Ellis finished the 2012-13 season averaging 19.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 6 assists and 2.1 steals on 41.6% shooting.
