The NBA Finals are right around the corner and will feature a great battle between the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs. It will most likely be a very even series, but ESPN experts favor the Heat.

18 NBA experts of ESPN made their picks for the NBA Finals, and 13 of the 18 participants have Heat winning the title. However, 10 of the 13 that like Miami’s chances have the series going all the way to seven games. On the flip side, the five that picked San Antonio to win it all are more confident in their pick, as they all have the series going just six games.

The results are clear — it’s a very hard series to predict. On paper, it looks as though Miami has the clear advantage, but a lot has happened since the start of the playoffs. Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh have both struggled mightily, and although Wade showed up in game 7 against the Indiana Pacers, the two All-Stars have been inconsistent.

The Spurs, on the other hand, are well-rested and love the current circumstances. While the reigning NBA champions were forced into a gruesome seven-game series, the Spurs were at home resting up after sweeping the Memphis Grizzlies.

NBA Finals are wide open this year and could go either way. The series starts in Miami on Thursday.
