Now that former Denver Nuggets head coach George Karl has parted ways from the team with one season remaining on his contract, there is a lot of speculation surrounding his future and where he could coach next. If Karl decides that he wants to return to the sidelines next season, there will be a number of teams lining up for his services. He was recently named NBA Coach of the Year and now he is surprisingly unemployed.
So where could Karl end up?
The teams who have current head coaching vacancies are the Brooklyn Nets, Denver Nuggets (where he obviously won’t return), Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers. There is also some belief that Karl could join the Memphis Grizzlies in a “trade” of sorts that would send Lionel Hollins to Denver.
