San Antonio Spurs swingman Danny Green isn’t exactly a household name, but he’s doing his best to put his name in the spotlight after his recent comments directed towards Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade.

Green, who was tasked with guarding the nine-time NBA All-Star during Game 1 of last night’s NBA Finals said Wade appeared to be gassed as the game came to a close, resulting in his poor play.

Per Ethan Skolnick:

Danny Green on Wade: “You can tell he got fatigued, wore down.”

The comments from Green weren’t as much of a dig at Wade as they were a simple observation as Wade, who’s been playing injured the entire postseason (and for a large majority of the regular season) seemingly vanished in the fourth quarter, missing two layups in the final twelve minutes.

Wade finished the game with 17 points on 7 of 15 shooting, but was only able to grab two rebounds and dish out two assists along with a steal in his 36 minutes.
