The Texas A&M Aggies are heading in to the season with high expectations and a lot of attention on them and last year’s Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel. With a lot of pressure going in to the new year, the fine folks of Adidas did their best to make sure the Aggies will be comfortable on the field with the new custom cleats for the team. Adidas’ cleats are a perfect mix of classic and retro with great tributes that include the state’s outline and the phrase, “Gig ‘Em”.

Here are A&M’s custom cleats for the 2013-14 college football season:

There aren’t too many drastic changes from the old version of the cleat, which you can see at the very top of this post, but the new customization make the aesthetic of the new cleats look much better.

A lot of times custom gear can be a bit over the top and really become an eye sore, but Texas A&M and Adidas got this one right. It will be nice to see how these look when paired with the uniform and marched out on to the field.
