Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has made no secret about the fact that he would love to leave The Reds this summer in favor of a team like Real Madrid or Juventus. Suarez has felt slighted by the media since he made the bone-headed decision to take a bite out of Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic which landed him a multi-game ban.
While teams have been linked to Suarez, he has finally given us the strongest indication of who he would specifically like to link up with next year by dropping a name that everyone should be familiar with.
“Of course I would like to play with [Cristiano] Ronaldo, he is a great player,” Suarez told the media leading up to Uruguay’s World Cup qualifier against Venezuela, which takes place today. “You never know, but it is complicated. ‘At the moment he is in Madrid and I am in Liverpool and I do not know what is going to happen.”
If Suarez truly feels like the media has treated him unfairly in Anfield, perhaps a move to La Liga would be the move that is best in his interest. If nothing else, he would join a very talented roster that could add a lot of hardware to the trophy case next season.
