In case you missed it, Sergio Garcia made some interesting comments on Tiger Woods three weeks ago, where Garcia stated “We’ll have him ’round every night. We will serve fried chicken.”. You can’t make this stuff up.

Woods took to twitter after the incident, tweeting that the comments were “wrong, hurtful and inappropriate.” And apparently, Garcia never apologized for the remark.

"“No, we didn’t discuss anything. Just came up and said, ‘Hi,’ and that was it,” Woods said.… “It’s already done. We’ve already gone through it all. It’s time for the U.S. Open and we tee it up in two days.”… “we haven’t had time for that.”"

It’s true though. They haven’t had time, prepping for the U.S. Open and all. But then again, I would think Garcia might make time to ease the friction between the two before the tournament tees off. It’s not like Woods is the kind of guy that needs any more motivation.

Garcia said he did look for him after practicing, however, stating: “Unfortunately, when I got done practicing, he was gone already, so I couldn’t see him. And this morning he wasn’t here. But like he said, he thinks he considers the matter closed. He’s moved on. And I’m happy that he feels that way, so hopefully we can do the same thing.”

It is what it is I guess. They’ll settle it on the course soon enough.
