Tottenham Transfer Rumors — While most of Tottenham’s rumors in this transfer window are based on Gareth Bale leaving or staying with the team, the London club will still be looking to make a couple of signings this summer, and one target could be FC Barcelona’s Ibrahim Afellay.

According to Metro, Tottenham could be lining up a £5 million bid for the attacking midfielder who would rather put his playing days in Spain behind him.

Ever since arriving in Barcelona, Afellay struggled to find playing time and picking up nagging injuries didn’t help either. The Dutch player spent the last season on loan at Schalke 04 in Germany, but played in just eight Bundesliga games due to injury, scoring two goals.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham have been rumored to be interested in the 27-year-old, with Arsenal being linked with Afellay during the winter transfer window.

Neymar recently signed for Barcelona, and it’s blatantly obvious that Afellay will not find playing time in Spain. As such, the team would probably not be reluctant to letting him go.
