Blackhawks' Andrew Shaw Drops F-Bomb in Post-Game Interview (Video)

Chicago Blackhawks center Andrew Shaw was the team’s hero in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals after coming up big in the third overtime by deflecting the game-winner past Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask. While his goal lifted the ‘Hawks past the Bruins, it was his post-game interview that is making the rounds on the Internet because of his choice of language.

Shaw was speaking with Pierre McGuire on NBC when he dropped the F-Bomb on national television.

Here is the video clip, followed by the full quote:

“It’s what we needed to do. Get guys going to the net. We knew it wasn’t going to be pretty at this point. It was a great shot, a great set up, f—kin’, it was unbelievable. All the guys, we deserved this. It was a great battle for us.”

You can’t blame Shaw for dropping the F-Bomb, because in that moment he was full of emotion after an epic game that he won for his team.

If people want to criticize Shaw for a little foul language, then they don’t understand what these athletes leave on the playing surface — especially in a game that lasts three overtimes.
