Colorado Rockies: Troy Tulowitzki Could Miss ‘Significant Time’ With Broken Rib

The Colorado Rockies could soon be sending shortstop Troy Tulowitzki to the disabled list because of some broken rib that have been causing extreme discomfort for their star. According to reports, Tulowitzki could be on his way to a lengthy absence from the line up after undergoing an MRI and learning the extent of the damage.

“The ribs have been a lingering problem for him,” Rockies manager Walt Weiss said, according to Trey Renck of The Denver Post. “When he came off the field, it was very evident he was done.”

Unfortunately for the Rockies, the lengthy absence would be a huge setback as they look to climb to the top of the NL West.

Colorado currently sits in third-place and Tulowitzki ranks in the top five of nearly every major category. When you are missing that type of production from your line up , you can’t help but to take a step back. Hopefully for the Rockies Tulowitzki will not miss too much time.
