Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is having his name thrown around in transfer rumors and there is a new team jumping in to the mix. There have been some reports that Ronaldo could be headed for a return to Manchester United, but the latest team is ready to make a record-breaking offer.
According to a report by Jack Pitt-Brooke in The Independent, French club Monaco is prepared to make an £85 million offer for the Portuguese international.
Monaco has been promoted back to Ligue 1, and as a result they have opened up the checkbooks.
The team has already signed Radamel Falcao, Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez to the tune of £110 million and they are willing to bring that number up to nearly £200 if it means adding Ronaldo.
Having a guy like Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev running the show for Monaco is only going to pay off in the long run and if they could add Ronaldo to the stable of players they have already brought in they will be making a big statement from day one.
