It finally showed off the console design of the PlayStation 4 at its pre-E3 conference on Monday night, and now Sony is showing off some of the peripherals for its newest system, including the new headset.
While users will still be able to connect their current Bluetooth headset to the PS4 in the same way they are able to with the PS3, currently, there will also be a headset that will ship in the box with the console.
But here comes the twist. Instead of a standard over-the-ear headset that gamers are used to receiving with their boxed console, Sony is sending a ear bud-style mono headset that looks, according to the prototype to the left, like something a scret agent would wear.
The headset comes with a microphone mid-line as well as a clip to attach to clothing which will restrain the mic from freely swaying.
Sony also showed the world its console stand to allow the PS4 to stand vertically as well as the charging dock for the DualShock 4 controllers. The prices of those products weren’t announced, but both were black like the system itself.
Sony did say that all peripherals shown are prototypes, and are subject to change.
