Chris Paul and Dwight Howard Texting Each Other; Want To Play Together

According to ESPN’s Chris Broussard, free agents to be Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers and Dwight Howard of the Los Angeles Lakers have been texting each other, hoping to figure out where to play TOGETHER.

Per Broussard:

Sources: CP3 & D12 hope to team up next season. Have been texting back & forth to figure it out. Story up soon on ESPN.

As with any report coming from Broussard, it should be taken with a heavy grain of salt. There are only one one or two teams who have the available cap space (Atlanta Hawks) to sign both Paul and Howard outright and only a small handful more who could get crafty with their finances (say like the Dallas Mavericks/Houston Rockets) and make an attempt at signing both talents. That of course would take assistance from other rival teams in the NBA though as teams like the Mavericks and Rockets would need to shed salary to make the “super team” possible.

It’s an unlikely scenario, but it’s worth keeping an eye on.
