The former Arizona Wildcat product left over $15 million dollars on the table yesterday when he decided to exercise the early termination clause in his contract and now enters the 2013 free agent frenzy hoping to secure a long term deal.
So who’s going to be interested in Iggy? Just about everybody with cash to spend, but according to Yahoo Sports, a few teams including the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks may top the list if they strike out on either Dwight Howard or Chris Paul.
After superstars Dwight Howard and Chris Paul, Iguodala will be a target for several teams, including the Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, Detroit Pistons and New Orleans Pelicans, league sources said.
Of course, left out there would be the Denver Nuggets who also will do their best to retain Iguodala’s services. Team President Josh Kronke says he expects to hire both a coach and a general manager in time to hopefully keep Iguodala in the Mile High city.
