It’s been a rough day for Los Angeles Clippers point guard Eric Bledsoe.
Hours ago he was a rumored piece in the deal that would potentially bring Kevin Garnett of the Boston Celtics to Los Angeles and now, according to USA Today, he’s apparently being dangled in a couple other trades.
Other players who are the Clippers’ radar as possible upgrades by way of a trade involving Bledsoe include Orlando Magic guard Arron Afflalo and Indiana small forward Danny Granger.
Eager as the Clippers may seem to move Bledsoe, it can’t be overlooked that current starting point guard Chris Paul is a free agent. While it’s not expected that Paul will leave Los Angeles, until his name is signed on the dotted line, it’s hard to think the Clippers would realistically move Bledsoe. However, assuming Paul does return to Los Angeles, there’s little room for Bledsoe, especially since he’ll be up for a new (expensive) contract at the conclusion of the 2013-14 season.
