Regan Smith Holds Off Kyle Larson for Michigan Win

In a race that saw more bad luck than good luck, Regan Smith had a little bit of that good luck and held off a hard charging Kyle Larson to earn his second victory of the season. He holds on and even extended his points lead over Sam Hornish Jr. to 58 points.

His crew chief, Greg Ives, noted that their strategy had nothing to do with the looming weather and that alone contributed to his victory while everyone else was playing strategy around potential rain.

Austin Dillon who dominated the race after leading 68 laps had to settle for a disappointing 20th place finish. He was on a different pit strategy than the other drivers and decided to stay out during a late debris caution. During the caution he ran over some of the debris before it was picked up and cut a tire forcing him to a slow restart and eventually having to make a pit stop.

Kyle Busch who has run an empire it seems like in the Nationwide Series this year came home in forth. This will be the second consecutive Nationwide race that he has been entered in but not won after winning 6 races earlier this season.
