Arsenal Transfer Rumors – The fact that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has developed a liking for Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain is no news. Wenger wants to streghten his squad up front and has been rumored to be willing to make a splash for the Argentinian. And it could be a record splash.

The Guardian has the following:

Wenger wants fresh impetus up front and talks have already taken place with Higuaín’s representatives. Juventus also covet the Argentina international, who Florentino Pérez, the Madrid president, values at £25m. Arsenal’s record outlay is the £15m that they spent on Andrey Arshavin in 2009

While Higuain has said that he wants a change of scenery, he is still waiting for Real to appoint a new manager. He wants to be clear about what kind of a role the new boss would have in mind for him.

Higuain might be a nice addition and bring another dimension to Wenger’s offense, and according to many news outlets, the Frenchman is more than ready to pay the required amount for the 25-year-old.

Why he ( Arsene’ Wenger) sold RVP for 24 million and nearly dropped us out of the Champions league now has to spend 25 million to get back to where we could have been if he had bolstered the team last season and offered him(RVP) a decent salary. Maybe we would have been on top instead of hoping we weren’t going to loose that 4 th Spot
